Deron Williams just signed his $100M contract with the Brooklyn Nets on his iPad using the electronic signature app, SignNow. He made the news himself by tweeting out the story with a picture on Lockerz. Why does he use Lockerz? I have no clue, but signing a 9-figure contract on an iPad in between Team USA practices is awesome. It really helps show where we are heading in the mobile technology world.

Williams will be joined this season by Joe Johnson, who was recently acquired via trade with the Atlanta Hawks, which will be a huge boost to the team and a versatile scorer that should greatly benefit from Williams’ point guard play. There is still talk of Dwight Howard potentially joining the tandem to create a “Big 3″ in Brooklyn in the never ending contract drama down in Orlando. Howard would be a huge addition to say the least, but their current roster with Williams, Johnson, Kris Kardashian…I mean Kris Humphries, MarShon Brooks, Gerald Wallace, and Brook Lopez isn’t too shabby.

Thanks to Darren Rovell for the SignNow tip. Here’s a link to the app that Deron was using: SignNow iOS
