Jeff Adrien Huskies playing in Spain

Former Connecticut Huskies star Jeff Adrien signed to play in Spain with Leche Rio Breogan. This is his first professional basketball contract since graduating from UConn last year where he helped lead the Huskies to the Final Four before losing to Michigan State.

This 6-foot-7 double-double machine was expected to be a second round pick in last years NBA Draft, but went unselected. He averaged 13.7 points & 9.6 rebounds over his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. He was considered the heart of a UConn team that included last years #2 pick Hasheem Thabeet by the Memphis Grizzlies.

Adrien joined former teammates Thabeet and Marcus Williams on the Grizzlies in the Las Vegas Summer League. In four games, he averaged 8.8 points and a team-high 6.5 rebounds per game.
